How to Be a Home Herbalist is a comprehensive and inspiring introduction to herbal medicine, carefully designed to guide you on a transformative journey with plants. This blended course brings together decades of herbal wisdom, combining online text-based learning with in-person practical workshops at the Artemis House clinic and herb garden in the Cotswolds.

Whether you are completely new to herbal medicine or looking to deepen your existing knowledge, this course will empower you with the confidence, skills and understanding to use herbs safely and effectively at home.

This course aims to help you to:
– Understand the foundational principles of herbal medicine
– Confidently identify and work with over 70 medicinal herbs
– Use herbal remedies safely to support yourself and your family
– Create a home apothecary and herbal toolkit for daily life
– Develop a deeper connection to nature, your health, and seasonal rhythms

This course starts with online text based modules which are released each month from February 2026, as well as in person workshop at Artemis House 19th & 20th May 2026 / 14th, 15th & 16th July 2026 / 8th, 9th & 10th September 2026.
