2022 membership renewal costs

Members Only

2021 has, once again, been a tough year. The continued impacts of the pandemic have been challenging for us all, as practitioners and people, and the ever increasing cost of living can exacerbate this.

In 2019 we committed to a long term strategy to bring down the cost of Institute membership, and we have reduced annual subscriptions for all membership categories since then. Last year we reduced the costs for our UK and international practising members, and this year, in recognition of the fact that our improved online offerings have added value to international memberships, we are further reducing the costs for our UK practising members.

Effective immediately, the renewal price for UK Full Membership will be £285, down from £299 last year and a saving of almost £40 per year since 2019.

Other renewal prices will remain the same at:

  • Full International Membership: £120
  • Non-Practising Membership: £190
  • International Non-Practising: £80
  • Retired: £30

These changes will have reduced the Institute's income by over £17,000 per year compared to maintaining prices at the previous levels, however we believe that we should continue to decrease membership costs, and to replace this income through our other activities.

Supporting our members to practise in the way they wish and to make the Institute as accessible as possible for all members are key parts of our strategy, and we are pleased to be able to make these changes to continue this commitment.
