Member update - Test & Trace

On Friday evening, as part of our regular review of the government restrictions affecting herbal practice with respect to COVID-19, one of the Institute’s Directors spotted an addition to the guidelines relating to the NHS Test and Trace process.

This guideline had not been communicated to us, and is not particularly clear in its intended application. Since identifying it we have discussed this issue with other professional associations and have approached the government for clarity. Despite nothing being forthcoming from official sources yet, we have been able to produce some clear and simple guidance for members.

The full details are set out in the attached document (also available on our Coronavirus Hub). Essentially, members should continue to follow the Test and Trace guidance we set out in July, but you will also now need to create and print a QR code poster for any patients who wish to log-in directly with the Test & Trace app, even though you will already have recorded their contact details as part of your usual patient registration process.
