Frances Watkins is a medical herbalist working in Kings Langley, Bushey and surrounding areas of Hertfordshire. She is a member of both the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH) and the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP) and was bestowed a fellowship of NIMH in 2025 for services to herbal education.
Frances gained a first class honours in Herbal Medicine from Middlesex University (2009) and completed her doctorate at the University of East London, researching native British medicinal plants used in 10th century wound healing formulations (2013). She has published in international journals and continues to explore herbal formulations recorded in early medieval latin and Old English medical texts.
