Nicholas Edwards

In my practice, I always try to use the best available evidence base to inform traditional uses of medicinal plants. I prefer to conceptualise the action of herbs in terms of their phytochemistry, though always with the understanding that they can have profound emotional and spiritual effects. I trained at the University of Lincoln and graduated in 2009.

Alongside being a herbalist, I am also an amateur linguist and have worked in foreign language and secondary science educational roles. I also completed a master's in ethnobotany in 2022, passing with a distinction. As part of my research, I looked at herbal therapeutics for insomnia and how we can think about the efficacy of herbal medicines.
