About the venue

Set on the edge of the Shropshire Hills, between Ludlow and Kidderminster, Hopton Court Estate is a truly beautiful setting for the Power of Plants Festival. Surrounded by 1,000 acres of stunning Shropshire countryside, the estate is a peaceful haven of woodland, gardens and open spaces, offering the perfect backdrop for a weekend celebrating plants, nature and wellbeing.

At the heart of the estate is the beautiful Georgian country house, which remains a much-loved family home. During the festival, we’ll be making the most of the estate’s wonderful spaces, including the Victorian Orangery, Coach House, walled garden, woodland and wider grounds, creating a unique setting for talks, workshops, activities and time to simply relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Getting Here

Hopton Court is approximately 40 minutes from the M5, making it easily accessible by road.

If you’re travelling by train, the estate can be reached from Kidderminster or Ludlow railway stations on two different lines.

You can also travel by bus. The 292 bus service will take you to the village of Hopton Wafers, from where it’s approximately a 15-minute walk up the lane to the festival site.

 

We have dedicated accessible parking is as close to the entrance as we can make it.

Although we don’t have a dedicated accessible campsite, the area nearest the campsite entrance is set aside for customers with accessibility needs. There is an accessible toilet there also.

Although we do everything we can to help, Power of Plants Festival takes place in the countryside so please bear this in mind as the ground is mostly grass, and may be uneven. There are also parts of the site where steps represent the quickest route around, although there are longer routes which make all of the site accessible.
